“Creative people are curious, flexible, persistent, and independent with a tremendous spirit of adventure and a love of play.”
Family-owned and operated, The Learning Tree Preschool & Childcare LLC is here to offer your children the care, comfort, fun, and safety they deserve. And for you, the peace of mind that comes from knowing your child is in the best of hands. Each day promises an exciting new adventure, and we make sure each child experiences the joys of a truly caring and loving environment. Our culture at The Learning Tree is centered around mindfulness and kindness, which extends from the loving family who has owned our center for decades, to all of the highly qualified staff, to the wonderful children in our care.
The Learning Tree follows Creative Curriculum developed by Teaching Strategies. The Creative Curriculum supports active learning that allows each child to become a creative thinker who is able to solve problems and resolve conflicts. The Creative Curriculum was founded in 1988 by a former preschool teacher, Diane Trister Dodge. It features research-based content and resources that are aligned with state early learning standards.
The Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers, and Twos focuses on building responsive care through nurturing teacher-child relationships while incorporating objectives that enable teachers to focus on what matters most for young children. This curriculum focuses on five routines and eight experiences that are essential for development and learning for children birth to age three.
The Creative Curriculum for Preschool focuses on project-based investigations designed to foster social-emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development in children. It addresses all of the important areas of learning, from social-emotional and math, to technology and the arts. There are 38 different objectives for development and learning, with opportunities for teachers to individualize instruction based on each child’s specific learning needs.
